With the exponential growth of capital markets across the globe as well as the growing ties among these markets, there is an increased need for dialogue to share knowledge and experience among regions. This conference aims to impart the developments in the European capital markets, from regulatory to the investment landscape, and issues facing the Latin American markets. Other topics such as mutual recognition and convergence relating to the potential harmonisation of regulation for a global market place as well as the lessons to be learned from the European and North American capital markets in the context of the global market turbulence will be discussed.
