Course overview

The course was organised in response to strong demand from members of ICMA and the ACI following the success of the previous events, which received excellent feedback. ICMA and ACI were pleased to be able to offer this course to their members at reduced rates, reinforcing the commitment of both organisations to market education.

The course was sponsored by ICMA’s European Repo Council (ERC) and ACI – the Financial Markets Association. The teaching faculty included experienced market practitioners, legal professionals, high-level academics as well as central bank officials. The course was coordinated by the ICMA Centre at the University of Reading in England.

Securities Lending Workshop - March 24, 2009

For the first time, in cooperation with ISLA, a pre-conference workshop on securities lending was added to the programme.  This provided an overview of equity and fixed income lending markets from both a lender and borrower perspective, including interlinkages with the repo market and the role of a prime broker.

This workshop was held at Dexia Congress Centre in the morning and Euroclear's office in the afternoon.
