Nomination committee
Pursuant to the statutes,

(i) the nomination committee’s functions are twofold:
  • the committee shall nominate the candidates for the elections to the board at the AGM;
  • if an intermediate vacancy occurs on the board the committee shall appoint a person who was not previously elected to the board at the general meeting to fill such vacancy, with the appointed board member completing the term of office of his/her predecessor;
(ii) the nomination committee is established each year following the AGM and consists of nine persons, four of whom are appointed by the board from amongst board members whose term of office does not expire at the AGM following the committee’s establishment and five of whom are appointed by the regional committees.
