Event overview

The initial outbreak of COVID-19 in the early part of 2020 caused turmoil in global financial markets, affecting liquidity in bond markets and triggering fund outflows from investors.

A panel of asset managers and a representative from ESMA looked at how investment funds performed from a liquidity perspective during the COVID-19 crisis and discussed the key findings of ESMA’s report assessing the resilience of corporate debt and real estate investment funds during February and March 2020.
