Event overview

ICMA is pleased to partner with Ashurst for a virtual event on Net Zero and the Asia-Pacific Capital Markets taking place on 20 April 2021.

Keynote presentations will be provided by Mr. OMOTE Takashi, Deputy Director-General for Environment, Energy and Innovation at Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; and Dr. MA Jun, Chairman, Green Finance Committee of the China Society of Finance and Banking.

A panel of climate and industry experts will share their views and expertise on questions facing the regional market:
  • What does net zero carbon actually mean? (And what does it not mean)
  • What are the essential characteristics of a credible net zero national policy or corporate strategy, and where can these go wrong?
  • What are the implications of national net zero pledges for the sustainable finance markets in Asia?
  • Where are the potential opportunities and risks for investors?

Admission: This virtual event is free of charge and open to all ICMA members and to interested financial market participants. Register now.

Registrations will close at 17:00 CET on Monday, 19 April 2021.

This event will be delivered via the Zoom platform. If you are unable to access Zoom, you may dial-in using the telephone number included in the Zoom joining instructions. If joining by phone, you may submit questions by contacting ICMA events.
