ICMA Women’s Network: Creating optimal conditions for gender inclusion and career progression

Hosted by:

27 February 2019
Time: 17.00-20.30

ING Head Office
Avenue Marnix, 24
1000 Brussels

Event Overview

Join us for the inaugural Brussels event of the ICMA Women's Network! Kay Swinburne MEP will be joining us to discuss her career path, the barriers she encountered along the way and how she has managed to navigate a successful career firstly in investment banking, and secondly as a Member of the European Parliament.

This will be followed by a panel discussion, during which the moderator (Chris Muyldermans, Counsel, KBV Group NV) will be asking the panellists (Juliette Kennel from SWIFT, Krista Baetens from ING Belgium SA, Valérie Urbain from Euroclear and Gilda Neiman from Citi) to share their insights into the topic of gender inclusion, and to consider what needs to change in order to create the optimal conditions for women in finance to succeed. In the context of current working environments, the panellists will discuss the effects of unconscious bias on career progression and networking, and what tools women need to nurture their career progression and best position themselves to develop leadership skills.

Come and be inspired by these influential speakers, and pick up some practical tips along the way for raising your profile and boosting your own career!

This event is free of charge and is open to ICMA members only, however registration in advance is essential.
