About the CFC

The Corporate Finance Consultant Certificate (CFC) Programme, an international professional qualification in corporate finance, was introduced in China by the National Development Reform Commission Training Centre and accredited and promoted by ICMA and the University of Reading. The CFC programme provides 15 courses including Corporate Financial Management, Macro-economy and Industry Analysis, Tax Planning of Corporate Finance, Corporate Risk Management, Corporate Financing and Corporate Investment. The CFC is the professional certificate for corporate finance and is a preferred educational requisite in China as specialists regard the certificate as proof of their proficiency in investment and financing.

The CFC courses and exams are conducted in Chinese. CFC certificate holders usually work in banks, fund companies, security companies, investment banks, the third-party financial planning institutions or the independent financial consultant for entrepreneurs. The CFC programme is organised in close cooperation with the PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University and the China Foundation for Development of Financial Education who provide academic support for the programme. The majority of CFC holders work in the main financial institutions of China such as China Construction Bank, China Guangfa Bank, Agricultural Bank of China and the Bank of China.

Since the launch of the programme in 2010, there have been almost 5,000 CFC certificate holders and the number continues to grow exponentially.
