ICMA Future Leaders (IFL) is designed to benefit the younger generation of capital market professionals in ICMA’s membership, connecting them with the services and networking opportunities which can enhance their skills and careers.
It is led by a steering committee that provides the Association with guidance and input on how best to communicate with the younger generation working in the debt capital markets, organising events and other initiatives to cultivate this community.
IFL is here not only to bridge the gap - to help young professionals to navigate and find their way in the complex world of capital markets - but also to make a positive impact on careers through its various initiatives.

16 September: ICMA Future Leaders: Inside ALM - a reinsurer's perspective on capital markets and risks
Join the Switzerland & Liechtenstein ICMA Future Leader representatives, Ingo Stössel and Arnaud Vanolli in Zurich, where Luke Burton, Senior Treasury Officer and Asset-Liability Management (ALM) Specialist at Swiss Re Group will provide an introduction to ALM at a leading reinsurance company.
In this session, Luke will cover:
- His route into ALM as an area of expertise, from pensions actuary in London to Reserving, Asset Management and Treasury roles in New York and Zurich
