ICMA Education & Training supports the association’s mission of building trust in the market by delivering training based on the internationally accepted standards of best practice developed by ICMA including broadly accepted guidelines, rules, recommendations and standard documentation.
In addition to the stamp of quality inferred by all of our courses carrying the ICMA logo – an endorsement that carries the weight of an association representing over 600 of the world’s most significant members of the global capital markets community in over 65 jurisdictions – we are also proud to be accredited and/or aligned with the following organisations and frameworks:
Financial Conduct Authority
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the conduct regulator for around 50,000 financial services firms and financial markets in the UK. The FCA have assessed ICMA in accordance with their standards set out in TC App 5.1 and have determined that ICMA can offer qualifications as an FCA-approved qualification provider.
CPD Certification Services
The CPD Certification Service was established in 1996 and is the world's leading and largest independent CPD accreditation institution operating across all industry sectors, including financial services.
ICMA Education & Training has been a member of CPD since 2019, and all of our assessed courses plus a growing number of non-assessed courses are individually accredited. Each course contains a recommended number of learning hours, based on attended/undertaken hours of study required to successfully complete the learning outcomes.
European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
The European Qualification Framework (EQF) is an overarching qualifications framework, which assists in the understanding and comparison of qualifications awarded across different countries within and beyond Europe. There are eight levels with level 1 being the lowest qualification level and level 8 being the highest qualification level.
Three of ICMA Education & Training’s benchmark courses – the Primary Market Certificate; Fixed Income Certificate; and Operations Certificate Programme – are aligned with EQF level 5. For more detailed information, please click here
