Overview

The ICMA Women’s Network, Nordea and the Nordic Investment Bank were delighted to host an afternoon event which explored key themes such as self-advocacy, personal branding, strategic networking and speaking up in high stakes environments, all delivered by way of inspiring keynote speeches and interactive, moderated discussions. This event was aimed at all genders, including those who identify with and support women’s professional growth.

The event opened with two keynote addresses: Marjo Riitta Diehl, Associate Professor at Aalto University, will speak on the importance of strategic networks, followed by Julie Sonne, Upcoming Chair of NIB's Board of Directors, Director, Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, who reflected on self-advocacy in the context of negotiations.

This was followed by an interactive, moderated discussion with active audience participation. The discussion included contributions from:

  • Eila Kreivi (ICMA Senior Advisor and board specialist, former EIB Director and Head of Capital Markets)
  • Tanja Eronen (Head of Nordea Personal Bank Commercial Hub) and
  • Esko Paananen (member of NIB’s DEI Group and Head of Operational Risk and Security Control).

Following the official programme, participants were warmly invited to continue the conversation at a networking reception.

Admission: This in-person event was free to attend and open exclusively to ICMA members and invited guests.
