Registering your interest in job opportunities and secondments
If you are interested in job opportunities that arise at ICMA, or in being seconded from your firm to ICMA for a period of six to twelve months, please note that roles will be advertised here, along with a link to our online application system, as they become available. We do not accept speculative CVs.
Job applications
When applying for a job opportunity, you will be required to submit:
- a CV, and
- a covering letter that includes:
- a brief introduction outlining your motivation for applying;
- a summary of your relevant experience and skills, tailored to the role;
- why you believe you are a good fit for ICMA and the specific department or function; and
- an e-mail address and phone number on which you can be contacted.
Secondments
When applying for a secondment to ICMA, your covering letter should include:
- a brief introduction explaining your interest in a secondment to ICMA;
- the department or area you are interested in contributing to;
- your preferred location (Zurich, London, Paris, Brussels or Hong Kong);
- the length of secondment you are seeking (between six and twelve months);
- a summary of your relevant experience and how it aligns with ICMA’s work;
- what you hope to gain from the secondment and how you can add value to ICMA;
- confirmation of support from your current employer (if applicable); and
- an e-mail address and phone number on which you can be contacted.
All information you provide to ICMA during the application process will be treated in confidence.
Candidate profile
Candidates applying to the Market Practice and Regulatory Policy Department at ICMA should have a strong understanding of the structure and functioning of the international capital markets, as well as the regulatory frameworks that govern them. The ability to analyse complex market and policy developments is essential.
Fluent spoken and written English is required for all roles, and proficiency in an additional language is considered an asset.
