ICMA co-signs joint trade association briefing paper on eliminating duplicative post-trade transparency reporting for EU bank branches in the UK
19 October 2026 ICMA, jointly with the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) and the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) co-signed a briefing paper in relation to the removal of duplicative post-trade transparency reporting requirements that place EU banks operating through UK branches at a competitive disadvantage when trading with international clients. The paper outlines a targeted solution to address this issue while maintaining transparency and data accuracy and integrity. Further details can be found in the briefing paper here. The joint association briefing paper complements ICMA’s September 2026 briefing on MiFIR post-trade transparency duplicative reporting.
