Overview
The ICMA Future Leaders, Swiss Region, invited all members of the Future Leaders network to a virtual market update on sustainable finance.
ESG has become a central component of corporate strategies and key part of the investment process for investors. This overview looked at the latest trends in the sustainable finance ecosystem from an EU and Swiss perspective. This included regulatory developments, stakeholder pressures, shift in focus to biodiversity, emergence of green equity listings, and sustainable bond financing – both use of proceeds and sustainability-linked structures.
The event featured a presentation by Samantha Sutcliffe, Head of Green and Sustainable Finance at UBS, followed by a Q & A session.
