Overview
"Don't be afraid, just do it." - Sandra Rey
"Existing is to dare diving into the world.” - Simone de Beauvoir
The capital markets have a reputation of being predominantly male. The Paris Stock Exchange was only accessible to women from April 1967. Nonetheless, numerous women have had brilliant careers in the financial, banking and economic sectors. The “glass ceiling” was no impediment to their skills and qualities. We were honoured to welcome a few of them to share their experiences. They talked about their motivations, the challenges they had to overcome and how they managed to achieve their success. They shared their experiences of facing both resistance and support in the context of their professional career. They also shared tips on managing the balance between very demanding jobs and the ups and downs of family life.
