Navigating global ESG disclosure rules: guidance for investors in Asia
Date: 2 December 2021
Event overview
In the wake of the COP26, ICMA's next virtual panel on ESG disclosure rules for investors in Asia took place on 2 December 2021. This panel discussion explored the impact of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) on investors in Asia and how the EU rules compared to other local ESG disclosure requirements (eg SFC HK climate-related disclosures) as well as broader topics such as greenwashing/investor protection, and the will from policy makers to further channel investments into sustainable assets.
