Overview

ICMA, IFC and UN Women published the “Bonds to Bridge the Gender Gap: A Practitioner’s Guide to Using Sustainable Debt for Gender Equality” during an online event on November 16. The guide lays out the types of gender projects that can be financed by private and public sector issuers through sustainable bonds. It also provides examples of gender-based targets for issuers of sustainability-linked bonds. The event fostered a greater understanding of social, sustainability, and sustainability-linked bonds with the aim of channeling more capital toward efforts to achieve gender equality.
