Overview
On the occasion of the annual IMF World Bank Annual Meetings, ICMA and Swiss Re will be holding a closed-door roundtable on galvanising investments in emerging markets: standardisation, risk transfer and infrastructure development at The Willard, Washington DC on 25 October 2024.
Led by ICMA CEO Bryan Pascoe and Swiss Re Group Chief Economist Jerome Haegeli, the roundtable will feature an update on ICMA's ongoing focus on building market capacity and standardisation initiatives to lower investment barriers for private actors, while Swiss Re will outline the re/insurance sector's perspectives on the state of play of long-term investments and risk transformation to unlock more private capital. The IMF in turn will provide a public sector view on how to build confidence in emerging markets.
The roundtable is by invitation only. If you would like to request a place, please contact events@icmagroup.org.
