Overview
The global digital bond ecosystem is rapidly evolving, driven by the adoption of distributed ledger technology (DLT) in capital markets. Digital bonds, issued and managed via blockchain, offer enhanced transparency, reduced settlement times, and lower operational costs. The growing role of AI in capital markets, from deal workflows to regulatory reporting, also adds another dimension to institutional operational considerations. Despite progress, challenges remain: legal and regulatory complexities, custody issues, and the need for interoperable standards. Among others, ICMA’s Bond Data Taxonomy (BDT) and the Common Domain Model (CDM) have played key roles in these developments.
Co-hosted by Huatai International, the event promises to be an insightful afternoon of thought leadership and focused dialogue with industry leaders and technology experts to explore the future of the global capital markets. The event will be followed by a networking reception to foster meaningful conversations with key stakeholders from across the region.
Admission: This in-person event is free to attend and open to ICMA members only and invite-only. Please note that participation may be on a first-come, first-served basis due to venue restrictions.
If you have any questions, please contact ICMA events.
