Raymond Seager
Raymond has worked in the debt capital markets since 2000, and in sustainable bonds since 2007. Spending the vast majority of his career working in the SSA debt capital markets, Raymond worked from 2010-2017 at Bank of America Merrill Lynch heading up the SSA Debt Capital Markets team, covering clients from Asia through Europe and into the US. Previous to BoAML, he worked at Barclays Capital and HSBC, also in SSA DCM.
Raymond left BofA in 2017 to spend more time with his young family, and after a couple of years out, began consulting in sustainable bonds working as the lead trainer for ICMA, as well as several long term contract assignments primarily with MDBs (EIB, EBRD, ADB, AfDB and others) on various aspects of the sustainable bond market ranging from individual issuances to wider market development and technical assistance.
Raymond has substantial experience in the green bond market, from working on the first ever green bond in 2007 through to a market leading underwriting role as the product developed into the mainstream. He has worked with a number of issuers on debut green transactions to lead them through the structuring and marketing process.
Raymond has a broad fixed income experience working on large vanilla transactions, structured notes, inflation linked, EM currencies and liability swaps. He completed his CFA in 2004.
