Overview
The International Capital Market Association (ICMA) is pleased to invite EU and national policymakers, regulators, and the policy community to an exclusive afternoon roundtable discussion session at our Brussels office.
This interactive roundtable discussion on “Demystifying securitisation” offers a unique opportunity to gain deeper insights into activities across EU, UK and international markets with a focus on securitisation in fixed income markets.
Key topics include an introduction to ICMA’s role and approach in securitisation, how it actually works, what it is, and importantly, what it isn’t. We will also consider why securitisation policy matters and what lies beyond the regulation.
The roundtable discussion will be led ICMA Market Practice & Regulatory Policy (MPRP) together with panel speakers:
- specialist securitisation association
- originator bank
- arranger bank
- buy-side firm
- credit rating agency
- international law firm
This roundtable discussion will provide an opportunity to engage directly with ICMA experts, exchange perspectives and discuss how policy development – including EU SIU objectives – and market practice can support the growth of the securitisation market.
The roundtable will be followed by a reception at 16:30 CET, offering the chance to continue discussions in an informal setting.
