Foundation Qualifications
These courses provide a comprehensive introduction to the front office and operations areas of the financial markets sector respectively. They are designed for those who are just starting their careers within the financial industry, as well as for candidates who need a deeper understanding of the terminology used within the marketplace.

These courses are examined and are available as a 3-day classroom-based option and two of them are also available as a 3-month online course.

Advanced Qualifications
These qualifications are designed for those within their first 10 years in the financial industry. The training is both challenging and demanding and will equip participants with practical skills which they can use in their day-to-day work. Many expert speakers contribute to each of the programmes, which provides candidates with key insights into the financial industry.

These examined qualifications are five days in length. The ICMA Fixed Income Certificate (FIC) is also available to study through our online learning platform. Candidates who successfully pass the exam will receive a certificate, jointly issued by ICMA and the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School, University of Reading.

Specialist Programmes
In addition to our examined qualifications, ICMA Executive Education offers a number of non-examined specialist programmes throughout the year. These courses are 1-2 days in length and look at a single topic covered within our Advanced Qualification programmes, but in much greater depth. The courses are very focused and provide an opportunity to network and discuss the issues affecting the financial markets with your industry peers.

Our current scheduled programmes include:

Securities Lending & Borrowing - Operational Challenges
Portfolio Construction
Online Learning
ICMA Executive Education is able to offer candidates the ability to study several of our qualifications through our online learning platform. The training is delivered through our innovative platform, Canvas, which allows candidates to build an online profile, interact with other students and work through the material in a structured way with the help of practical examples and videos by the course tutors. There is also an e-Tutor available to assist with any questions candidates have.

The following qualifications are already available to study online, with additional programmes being made available shortly.

In-house training
ICMA Executive Education can deliver any of its qualifications and training programmes on an in-house basis.

The syllabus of each programme can be delivered in its current format (as per the public version) or modifications can be made where necessary to accommodate a client’s specific training needs. This allows for specific subjects to be addressed, which might otherwise not be raised in a public forum.

In-house training is a cost-efficient way of training large groups of staff, as well as having a bespoke programme conducted which is tailored to the organisation’s requirements. Courses can be delivered at a time which fits in with the organisation’s schedule.

We normally recommend a minimum of eight and a maximum of 20 participants for any in-house training course in order to make the programme as interactive as possible. Courses are priced on a per day rather than a per delegate rate, providing a more cost effective solution to group training.

Educational workshops
ICMA also runs interactive one and two-day workshops covering subjects such as Green Bonds, European Regulation, Bond Syndication, Repo and MiFID II to give delegates a thorough understanding of the areas covered.
