ICMA Learning Pathways
ICMA created a framework to help professionals navigate their development in international capital markets. The framework brings together two qualification routes: the ICMA Diploma, a comprehensive programme that builds cross-market understanding over time, and ICMA-Certified, a focused track for practitioners looking to validate specialist skills and expertise. Both lead to internationally recognised credentials and support ICMA’s commitment to promote the development of the international capital and securities markets through continuous professional growth.
A structured qualification route designed to build cross-market capability over time. Achieve an ICMA Diploma by completing the prescribed pathway of courses at Foundation, Advanced and Specialist levels, backed by ICMA and aligned to real-world market practice
An industry-accredited professional qualification recognising advanced, applied expertise in key areas of capital markets. Each ICMA-Certified programme combines two intensive assessed courses (Advanced + Specialist) within one of four focus areas: Primary Debt Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, Financial Markets Operations, or Sustainable Finance.
